You will be in 3-5 traditional FMR clinic half days per week, and spend the remaining half day per week in teaching conferences, quality improvement projects, nursing home visits, admin, or research project time. You get one week of paid CME if in good academic standing to pursue an Area of Concentration.
Other than night float, the only planned overnight call occurs once weekly on Family Medicine inpatient (typically four weekends during second year).
All senior residents will be assigned 2 or more long-term continuity nursing home patients at a nearby nursing home. You will visit each patient once monthly and write continuity notes over the course of your final 2 years of training.
