The Mission of the USAFWC Inspector General's office.
Acts as the “eyes and ears” of the commander by establishing procedures to manage the Air Force Inspector General Complaints Resolution Program and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Program throughout the Air Force Warfare Center; functions as the ombudsman, fact-finder, and honest broker in the resolution of complaints.
- Informs the commander of problems impeding efficiency and mission effectiveness
- Assists Airmen, dependents, civilian employees, and retirees with resolving issues
- Investigates Reprisal and Restriction allegations
Every member has the right to file a report of wrongdoing, violation of standard or regulation to their chain of command, member of Congress, or Inspector General.
The IG has the responsibility to safeguard the personal identity and complaints of individuals seeking assistance or participating in an IG process. While this does not mean communications made to an IG are privileged or confidential, it does mean disclosure of those communications and the identity of the communicant, will be strictly limited to an official, need-to-know basis.
