NELLIS HONOR GUARD

 

The Nellis Air Force Base Honor Guard represents the Air Force across parts of Nevada, California, Utah, and Arizona. The team’s top priority is to provide military funeral honors for fallen veterans, retirees, and Active Duty service members. The team is also available to perform Color Guard sequences at public events to include promotion ceremonies, change of command ceremonies, retirements, opening events, and sporting events.

Guidelines

  • Please submit Honor Guard requests at least two weeks in advance.
  • Approved requests may be cancelled based on mission requirements.
  • The Honor Guard is prohibited from supporting religious events except for funerals and all partisan political events. 
  • For retirements, the member being honored must be in the grade of Chief Master Sergeant for enlisted, or Colonel and above for officers.
  • For promotions, the member being honored must be promoted to the grade of Chief Master Sergeant, or Colonel and above.
  •  The Honor Guard will ask the requester to cover some costs associated with the event to include parking fees, meal fees, entry fees, and or hotel expenses.
