  • Nellis Airmen participate in life-saving rescue

    Nellis Air Force Base Airmen partnered with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to rescue six people on Nov. 12, 2020 in Cedar City, Utah.Aircrew assigned to the 66th Rescue Squadron (RQS) and pararescuemen assigned to the 58th RQS employed two HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters to execute the rescue

  • Nellis AFB to hold training Nov. 9 – Dec. 9

    Southern Nevada residents may notice increased noise from military aircraft as the Air Force conducts semi-annual training from Nov. 9 to Dec. 9, 2020. Training will include periodic night flying.

  • NELLIS AFB REVERTS TO PHASE II OF REOPENING

    Nellis Air Force Base will revert to Phase II of its five-phase reopening plan on July 9 and increase its Health Protection Condition to Charlie. The base remains under a Public Health Emergency.

  • 99th AIR BASE WING CHANGE OF COMMAND

    Col. Todd Dyer will assume command of the 99th Air Base Wing from Col. Cavan Craddock in a closed ceremony here at 9:30 a.m., June 11.

  • NELLIS AFB ANNOUNCES PHASE III OF REOPENING

    Nellis Air Force Base will move to Phase III of its five-phase reopening plan and reduce its Health Protection Condition to Bravo, June 1. The base will remain under a Public Health Emergency.
