Intergovernmental Executive Committee to Hold Meeting Feb 25

The Intergovernmental Executive Committee (IEC) will hold a virtual/teleconference committee meeting at 1 p.m. Feb. 25.


The Intergovernmental Executive Committee was established by the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the purposes of exchanging views, information and advice relating to the management of the natural and cultural resources of the lands withdrawn and reserved by this section, and discussing and making recommendations to the Interagency Committee (IC) with respect to public access needs and requirements.


Committee membership includes representatives from the Secretary of the Interior, Secretary of the Air Force, Nevada Department of Wildlife, each American Indian Tribe in the vicinity of the portions of the joint use area of the Desert National Wildlife Refuge, Clark, Nye and Lincoln county commissioners, and other private individuals appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of the Air Force.


The meeting is open to the public and welcomes the opportunity for the public to provide comment regarding the management of, and public access to, the co-managed lands of the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. To join the meeting via Zoom:
