Nellis dentists sweep competition
Captains Kevin Rasmussen, Joe Kayne and Danielle Wehri, 99th Dental Squadron advanced education of general dentistry residents, accept their awards during the awards ceremony for the California Dental Association table clinic competition held May 14, 2011, in Anaheim, Calif. Rasmussen won first place for his table clinic entitled “Surgical Removal of Mandibular Tori Utilizing Mucoperiosteal Ballooning.” Kayne won second place for his table clinic entitled “Connective Tissue Grafting Techniques to Treat Millers I/II Defects.” Wehri won third place for her table clinic entitled “Acute Orofacial Pain: Simple steps the general dentist can take at the first visit.” The three captains competed against 45 other table clinic presenters who were from the Air Force, Navy and Veteran’s Affairs.
