General Carlisle Addresses Warfighters at annual Weapons and Tactics Conference
U.S. Air Force Pacific Air Forces Commander, Gen. Herbert Carlisle, addresses warfighters at the 13th annual Weapons and Tactics Conference at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Jan. 16, 2014. WEPTAC is an annual two week event that brings together hundreds of warfighters from the Combat Air Forces to discuss current issues, to look at future issues and to provide solutions for joint employment of forces. Attendance is primarily Air Force military members, but there has been an increasing amount of participation from the Army, Navy and Marines. LAS VEGAS -- Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., leadership stand at attention to pay their final respects to Chief Master Sgt. Joseph Hubbard, 53rd Test Management Group superintendent, while the Nellis AFB Honor Guard removes his casket from a hearse during a dignified transfer ceremony Jan. 10, 2014, at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas. Hubbard entered the Air Force Aug. 21, 1990, initially serving as a security specialist at Barksdale AFB, La. In 1994 he transitioned into communications and computer system operations. Handheld laser marker project team targets improvements
Ron Spock, 605th Test and Evaluation Squadron assistant project manager, collects data during a Handheld Laser Marker Tactics Development and Evaluation project Dec. 11, 2013, at the Nevada Test and Training Range. The data collected consisted of time of day, the target number, who is shooting, the type of aircraft dropping the munitions, the time the laser trigger was pulled, whether or not the run was successful or not and feedback from the laser shooter.
