AGE: Supporting airpower with ground power
The Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Aerospace Ground Equipment hangar, plays an important role in ground support. Personnel who work at the AGE hangar perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE as well as inspect, test and operate the equipment to determine serviceability and proper operation. Personnel, who work with AGE, analyze and repair ground support equipment using conventional and digital multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers and hand tools. Crosswinds Inn to host Thanksgiving meal
Airman 1st Class Saul Sarabia Pacheco, 99th Force Support Squadron food service apprentice, prepares a soup at the Crosswinds Inn Dining Facility, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Nov. 24, 2014. The FSS is scheduled to host a Thanksgiving meal, open to all Department of Defense ID cardholders, at the Crosswinds, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal will be served by senior leadership from across the base. The meal includes roasted turkey and beef, baked ham, mashed potatoes, corn bread dressing, macaroni and cheese, and a variety of desserts. The cost for the meal is $8 per plate and a shrimp cocktail may be added for an additional $5. For additional information contact the dining facility at 702.652.6741.
