Air Force fighter jets to fly over Memorial Day celebration Published May 21, 2009 By Nellis Public Affairs 99th Air Base Wing NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Four F-15E Strike Eagles will be participating in a low-level flyover in the Southern Highlands' Stonewater Park, at the intersection of Southern Highlands Parkway and Valley View Boulevard, in support of a Memorial Day celebration event at approximately 6 p.m., May 25. The Southern Highlands' Memorial Day celebration is free and open to the public and begins at 5.30 p.m. The ten-minute flyover will travel northwest from Boulder City and cross Interstate-15 to Southern Highlands at 1,000 feet above ground. Some of the proceeds collected at this event will benefit Operation Warmheart. Headed by the First Sergeant Council, this nationally-recognized program helps Airmen and their families in times of need through monetary donations, food and other methods of support. The four F-15E Strike Eagles are assigned to the 335th Fighter Squadron at Seymour Johnson AFB, S.C., and are participating in an exercise here.
