U.S. Marines with 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group teach their job to Sgt. Maj. Ronda Kirkby and Master Chief Petty Officer Myla Presco, the sergeant major and command master chief of 1st MLG, as part of the "Ready. Set..." campaign on Camp Pendleton, California, Aug. 1, 2024. The “Ready. Set…” campaign is designed to inform and educate the Marines and Sailors of 1st MLG about the importance of being postured to execute any mission at any time and the role 1st MLG has in supporting I Marine Expeditionary Force. 1st Maint Bn provides intermediate-level maintenance support, to include wheeled and tracked vehicle recovery, salvage and disposal, and general maintenance support, for I MEF's ground equipment in order to improve and sustain the Marine Air Ground Task Force.
