Reserve Marines competing in the 4th Marine Division Super Squad Competition conduct a grenade range during the multiple event, Combat Marksmanship Endurance Test at the Small Arms Complex on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska, Aug. 6, 2018. Every year Marine Forces Reserve hosts a Rifle Squad Competition that gives 4th Marine Division infantry regiments the opportunity to nominate their top two rifle squads to be evaluated in offensive operations, defensive operations, patrolling techniques, combat marksmanship, physical endurance, and overall small unit leadership.
