Members of the Iowa National Guard Honor Guard stand ready at the funeral service of U.S. Army Cpl. Eldert J. Beek of Sibley, Iowa at the Evergreen Cemetery in George, Iowa on June 14, 2021. Beek was killed in action on December 1, 1950 during the Korean War. His remains were not recovered until 2018, then positively identified in 2020.
