403rd Wing leaders and 403rd Security Forces Squadron members travelled to Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center in Hattiesburg, Miss., May 21, 2021 to participate in a number of different training exercises including a Shoot, Move, Communicate course, Engagement Skills Trainer virtual weapons firing, Squad Advanced Marksmanship training, and a Virtual Battlefield Systems convoy simulation. The trip was an opportunity for the Air Force Reserve Command unit leaders to become more familiar with the training capabilities available at the Mississippi Army National Guard base. Also, it allowed 403rd leadership a chance to strengthen relationships with training facility managers and personnel as well as Camp Shelby Commander, Col. Richard L. Weaver.
