September is National Preparedness Month, and it is important to know disasters can happen without warning. There are precautions that should be taken to stay safe during possible disasters. It is vital to have a plan laid out in advance on how to get to a safe place, how to contact a separated family member, and how to rally back together. It is also important to have plans and supplies for locations that are regularly visited such as schools, daycare providers, workplaces and neighborhood buildings. Individuals are encouraged to plan ahead and stay safe. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Rachel Loftis)
