USAF A3, former USAFWS commandant visits Nellis

An F-16 Fighting Falcon piloted by Lt. Gen. Burton M. Field and Lt. Col. David Epperson taxis after landing from Field’s final Air Force sortie, or “fini” flight, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Sept. 11, 2014. Field served multiple assignments at Nellis throughout his 35-year career, including serving as the commandant of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School from 2000 to 2001, and was visiting the base to get a first-hand look at Nellis’ multiple missions. Field is the deputy chief of staff of Operations, Plans and Requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C., and Epperson is the 16th Weapons Squadron commander.
