Nellis hosts 9/11 Old Glory Challenge

Airmen from the 57th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Raptor Aircraft Maintenance Unit run with the American Flag during the 9/11 Old Glory Challenge Sept. 11, 2013, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The Airmen are part of Team Red White Blue Las Vegas, whose mission is to enrich the lives of American veterans by connecting them to their communities through physical and social activities. Teams from around the base ran in 30 minute increments around Freedom Park to keep the American flag flying from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Raptor AMU team participated in the whole event running the flag around Freedom Park off and on from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Daniel Hughes)
