Airmen practice response procedures during Federal Coordination Center Exercise

A simulated victim lies on the ground beside a wrecked car Sept. 19, 2013, near the Mike O’ Callaghan Federal Medical Center during an aircraft crash response exercise at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The scenario was an aircraft had an inflight emergency and broke up on the way down. Parts of the aircraft “hit” vehicles driving on Range Road. The exercise tested Airmen, contractors and civilians in their response to a major aircraft incident. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Michael Charles)
