Biomedical equipment Airmen maintain life-saving equipment

Biomedical equipment Airmen from the 99th Medical Support Squadron Bioenvironmental Equipment Flight perform evaluations on medical devices at the Mike O’Callaghan Federal medical Center Oct. 17, 2013 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Other career tasks include implementing organizational maintenance support for all medical devices used within a medical treatment facility, medical research laboratories, air transportable hospitals and clinics and contingency hospitals. Airmen may also provide technical guidance and intermediate maintenance support on medical equipment systems when assigned to a regional Medical Equipment Repair Center.
