PMEL Airmen maintain, calibrate equipment to smallest detail

Tech. Sgt. Jeff Tucker, 57th Maintenance Squadron Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory section supervisor, places a measurement scale awaiting calibration in the holding area Oct. 28, 2013, at the PMEL on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Each piece of equipment is placed in the holding area for a minimum of four hours so it can adjust to the temperature of the laboratory before being calibrated. Some equipment that PMEL aligns, calibrate differently in hot or cool climates. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Michael Charles)
