PMEL Airmen maintain, calibrate equipment to smallest detail

Airman 1st Class India Brooks, 57th Maintenance Squadron Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory specialist, delivers a scale in need of calibration to the PMEL Oct. 28, 2013, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Airmen assigned to PMEL are technicians responsible for the repair, calibration and modifications of all measurement equipment in the Air Force. According to the Air Force website, PMEL specialists are trained to calibrate more than 7,000 different pieces of equipment ranging from torque wrenches to aircraft scales.
