Ribbon-cutting marks opening of Nellis’ privatized housing

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Karen Apple and Juliana Ollis cut the ribbon to dedicate the first house in The Landings at Nellis military family housing area. Mrs. Apple, daughter of the third Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force Richard D. Kisling, cut the ribbon to open the original houses in the area in 1960 when her family became the first occupants of the then-new housing known as Manch Manor. Juliana is the daughter of Senior Airman Nathan and Caitlin Ollis. The Ollis' are the first family to move into the new homes at The Landings at Nellis.
