NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev.—A firefighter from the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron uses Hurst shears to cut off the top of a car during an auto extrication training class here May 8. Nellis firefighters conduct training every shift to prepare them for potential scenarios they may face on the job such as confined-space rescue and rescuing victims from burning vehicles. The type of training they receive changes daily to keep their skills sharp. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Kasabyan D. Musal)
