Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff holds an "Airmen's Call" in the Thunderbirds Hangar at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., June 17. The Admiral began the "Airmen’s Call" by honoring and recognizing Nellis Airmen. After recognizing Nellis Airmen, he then commented on current military issues and capabilities, then opened the floor to any Airmen who had questions for him, with topics ranging from rising fuel prices and its impact on the Air Force mission, the resignation of the Air Force's top officials, force drawback, future challenges for the Air Force, and increased deployment and operations tempo.
