Kendrick Passey, 58th Rescue Squadron Pararescueman, unhooks himself from a rope after repelling down from the rafters, portraying a real life scenario of a downed pilot rescue at the opening ceremony during the National Finals Rodeo held at the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas Nev., December 9, 2007. To commemorate the Air Force's 60th Anniversary, Nellis played mulitple roles in the NFR, to include a downed pilot rescue simulation, Thunderbird appearance, honor guard presentation, and also honored five medal recipients for their contributions in the Global War on Terror.
