NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Alexis LeAna Gavin, daughter of U.S. Army Capt. Ryan Gavin and his wife Dianna, sleeps quietly in her father's arms Jan. 1, 2010 unaware that she is the first baby of the decade in the Las Vegas Valley. Alexis was born at Nellis Air Force Base's Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital at 12:30 a.m. on New Year's Day. She weighs 6 pounds, 10 ounces and measures 19.25 inches long.
