U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Michael MacNeil, Thunderbirds first sergeant, Tech. Sgt. Michael Butler, 88th Test and Evaluation Squadron Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape Test Operations, and Master Sgt. Cristy Anderson, 53d Test and Evaluation Group first sergeant pose for the Diamond Sharp Award presentation 17 July, 2012, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The First Sergeant's Diamond Sharp Award is designed to recognize an individual who truly stands out with abilities, sheer drive and characteristic traits most others do not possess. Butler received the May Diamond Sharp Award for his exemplary accomplishment leading a 14 billion dollar aircraft acquisition program completion with no delays, his efforts organizing a unit donation to a local shelter for over 160 residents and he completed his SNCOA PME Course 14 ahead of his peers.
