WSINT trains at night; Operation Coyote Freedom
Air Commandos assigned to the 1st Special Operations Squadron Logistic Readiness Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Florida, board an MC-130H Combat Talon II, assigned to the 14th Weapons Squadron, after establishing a forward arming and refueling point during Coyote Freedom 401, Dec. 12, 2017, at the Nevada Test and Training Range. The MC-130H is a variant of the C-130 Hercules with added in-flight refueling capabilities and improved navigation computers that allow it to land or airdrop on small, unmarked runways with pinpoint accuracy. A U-28 assigned to the U.S. Air Force Weapons School’s 14th Weapons Squadron flies enroute to the Delmar desert landing zone, Nev., Dec. 2. A U.S. Army MH-47, (blades, foreground) assigned to 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment awaits at forward area refueling point, while a 14th WPS, AC-130U provides close air support. The 14th WPS hosted 17 diverse units and other government agencies during a hostage rescue exercise, as part of the USAF Weapons School Integration phase.
