Air Force Surgeon General visits Mike O'Callaghan Federal Medical Center
U.S. Air Force Surgeon General Lt. Gen. (Dr.) Thomas Travis, , and Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Lambing (middle), USAF Surgeon General’s Enlisted Corps chief, receive a briefing from Col. (Dr.) Howard Reid, 99th Medical Operations Squadron commander, on the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center’s emergency room procedures, Oct. 30, 2013, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Travis was visiting Nellis AFB to observe the progress and evolving capabilities of the MOFMC and to build strategic partnerships with local medical services in the Las Vegas. The surgeon general’s office advises the Secretary of the Air Force and Air Force Chief of Staff, as well as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, on matters pertaining to the medical aspects of the Air and Space Expeditionary Force and the health and medical readiness of Airmen.
