Barry Cornish, 99th Air Base Wing commander, signs the community action plan June 6, 2013, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The CAP priorities were selected based upon their impact on mission execution and foundation for long term sustainment. The three priorities are culture of respect, physical resilience, and financial wellness. The CAP's purpose identifies individual, family, and community issues while serving as a guide for Nellis AFB, Creech AFB, the NTTR, the Community Action Information Board and Integrated Delivery System teams. 433rd WPS welcomes home, honors fallen wingmen
(left) Col. Wendell Keller and (right) Capt. Virgil Keller, members of the 433rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, were tasked with a night interdiction mission against a heavily defended supply route and storage area complex March 1, 1969, near the Ban Karai Pass, Thailand. During this mission, Keller and Meroney, and their wingman, from the 433 TFS came under fire. Keller and Meroney attacked and destroyed the threatening enemy gun positions. During the attack their aircraft was hit by hostile fire and crashed. There were no parachutes seen or emergency beacons sent. Keller and Meroney were declared missing in action. (courtesy photo)

ACM Party for a Cause

Barry Cornish, 99th Air Base Wing commander, accepts a check for the Nellis Air Force Base Force Support Squadron at the Academy of Country Music Party for a Cause festival April 6, 2013, at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The money was donated by the Academy of Country Music Lifting Lives. Lifting Lives is the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music. City Park Grand Opening
The F-22 Raptor replica is unveiled as the visual centerpiece of The Thunderbird Family Sports Complex Feb. 16, 2013. The aircraft, appearing to fly above a monument plaza with contrail-shaped curved steel beams, is anchored in a concrete base providing support. The Raptor was selected due to its use in the 57th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base and pays tribute to the United States Air Force and all military families in the Las Vegas valley.
