Saints fly with Thunderbirds
BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La.--Lt. Col. Derek Routt, operations officer for the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds," describes the features of the F-16D to New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees prior to an orientation flight April 23. Selected as the most valuable player during the 2010 Super Bowl, Mr. Brees and the team's Cornerback, Jabari Greer, had the opportunity to meet with Airmen and their families and fly with the Thunderbirds while the squadron was visting Barksdale Air Force Base to perform in the Defenders of Liberty Air Show April 24-25. Thomas Bowden, U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds" flight surgeon, checks the blood pressure of New Orleans Saints Cornerback Jabari Greer, during a medical briefing prior to a flight with the Thunderbirds April 23.
