‘Ultimate Summer’ ends with new car giveaway
Carlos Del Valle, 99th Force Support Squadron Outdoor Recreation Center outdoor adventure programmer, poses with a $2,500 check presented to him by Takeira Jones-Bolden, 99th FSS supervisory marketing specialist and commercial sponsorship coordinator, in front of the brand new 2015 Volkswagen Jetta he won at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Sept. 23, 2015. Del Valle won the 99th FSS’ Ultimate Summer Giveaway grand prize of the new car by having his name drawn during the car’s raffle. Del Valle was one of almost 10,000 Nellis and Creech AFB members who entered the drawing, which began in June. “Capt. Carlisle” unveiled: MiG-23 dedicated to ACC Commander
Gen. “Hawk” Carlisle, commander of Air Combat Command gives a speech during a dedication ceremony at the Threat Training Facility on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Oct. 17. During the ceremony, a MiG-23 was dedicated to honor his role in the CONSTANT PEG program. The mission of CONSTANT PEG was to train U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps combat fighter aircrews on the best ways to fight and win when encountering MiG built aircraft in aerial combat. Carlisle was the chief of weapons and tactics as well as flight commander for the 4477th Test and Evaluation Squadron from 1986 to 1988.
