NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev.-- Airmen from the 99th Civil Engineering Squadron volunteer to make a fresh cut off the ends of more than 700 donated Christmas trees at the Base Chapel Dec. 11. For the fifth consecutive year, The Trees for Troops program, sponsored by the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and FedEx Corp, provided trees for servicemembers. Turkey Trot 5k
Major Aubrey Curtis, 547th Intelligence Squadron individual mobility augmentee, runs during the 5k Turkey Trot/Great American Smokeout near the Warrior Fitness Center, Nov. 21, 2013, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. This year the Turkey Trot, which was put on by the Warrior Fitness Center, and the Great American Smokeout, put on by the Health and Wellness Center, were combined into one 5k event. The race was called both the Turkey Trot and the Great American Smokeout in honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and to help urge Airmen and other individuals to end their tobacco use.
