Christopher Lenz, 99th Ground Combat Training Squadron instructor, gives a brief on procedures during a Nellis Support Team tour of the Nevada Test and Training Range. The 98th RANW provides command and control of the Nevada Test and Training Range. The commander coordinates, prioritizes and is the approval authority for activities involving other governmental agencies, departments and commercial activities on the NTTR. The 98th RANW integrates and provides support for test and training programs that have a direct effect on the war-fighting capabilities of the combat air forces. Old Glory Challenge helps Nellis remember 9/11
Members of Nellis Air Force Base run with the U.S. flag during the Old Glory Challenge at Nellis AFB, Nev., Sept. 11, 2014. During the Old Glory Challenge, participants were charged with continuously running with the U.S. flag in 30-minute increments from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The goal of the event was to help participants remember the events of 9/11, honor those lost in defending freedom and tell the story of all who serve in defense of freedom. Pararescue Rodeo Round-Up
Staff Sgt. Kendrick Passey, 58th Rescue Squadron Pararescueman, unhooks himself from a rope after repelling down from the rafters, portraying a real life scenario of a downed pilot rescue at the opening ceremony during the National Finals Rodeo held at the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas Nev., December 9, 2007.
