UPDATE: Aircraft crash near Nellis Air Force Base

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. – At approximately 7:40 a.m. this morning, a civilian adversary air contractor, Draken International, A-4 Skyhawk crashed on private land adjacent to Nellis Air Force Base while supporting 57th Wing operations. The pilot ejected safely and is receiving medical care for minor injuries at Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center.

Thankfully, there were no injuries on the ground. Nellis Air Force Base is committed to the safety of our community neighbors and we would like to thank our community partners for their quick response and scene containment.

At this time, the crash is contained and the aircraft poses no threat to the community or natural resources in the surrounding area.
