Nellis AFB invites public comment at environmental impact meetings

  • Published

The Department of the Air Force is requesting comments during public scoping meetings, regarding proposed developments on the east side of the base on November 14 and 15, between 5-7 p.m.

The Air Force’s proposed developments would allow Nellis Air Force Base to build additional facilities and infrastructure to meet current and future mission needs.

Public scoping assists in the development of an environment impact statement (EIS) to evaluate potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed plans. Tribal governments; federal, state, and local agencies; organizations; special interest groups and individuals are invited to be involved in the scoping process.

Comments will be accepted at any time during the environmental impact analysis process. However, to ensure the Air Force has sufficient time to consider public scoping comments, please submit your comments within the 30-day scoping period.
