Nellis celebrates U.S. Space Force’s first birthday with virtual event

Nellis’ Space Force professionals assigned to the 328th Weapons Squadron will virtually launch five DeSTEMber events to celebrate the U.S. Space Force’s first birthday, Dec. 15-17.

The intention behind DeSTEMber is for students in grades 3-6 to connect with U.S. Space Force professionals and get the students excited about the potential of a STEM education with the possibility of being a part of the space program one day.

The five scheduled events are as follows (all times Pacific Standard Time):

Dec. 15, 5:30-6:30 a.m.: Endeavour Elementary (NJ); 1st and 2nd Grades (200 Students)
Dec. 15, 6:30-7:30 a.m.: Endeavour Elementary; 3rd and 4th Grades (200 Students)
Dec. 15, 1030-1130 a.m.: Johnston Middle School (NV); 7th Grade (# Students unknown)
Dec. 16, 1-1:30 p.m.: Coral Academy (Nellis AFB, NV); 2nd and 3rd Grades (250 Students)
Dec. 17, 1230-1 p.m.: Coral Academy; 1st Grade (150 Students)
