NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Nellis’ Space Force professionals assigned to the 328th Weapons Squadron will virtually launch five DeSTEMber events to celebrate the U.S. Space Force’s first birthday, Dec. 15-17.
The intention behind DeSTEMber is for students in grades 3-6 to connect with U.S. Space Force professionals and get the students excited about the potential of a STEM education with the possibility of being a part of the space program one day.
The five scheduled events are as follows (all times Pacific Standard Time):
Dec. 15, 5:30-6:30 a.m.: Endeavour Elementary (NJ); 1st and 2nd Grades (200 Students)
Dec. 15, 6:30-7:30 a.m.: Endeavour Elementary; 3rd and 4th Grades (200 Students)
Dec. 15, 1030-1130 a.m.: Johnston Middle School (NV); 7th Grade (# Students unknown)
Dec. 16, 1-1:30 p.m.: Coral Academy (Nellis AFB, NV); 2nd and 3rd Grades (250 Students)
Dec. 17, 1230-1 p.m.: Coral Academy; 1st Grade (150 Students)
