After four grueling games back to back and only allowing 3 points against them in all games combined, Nellis obtained second place in the Corporate Challenge Flag Football.

According to The City of Las Vegas Nevada Web site, Corporate Challenge is an amateur-athletic competition patterned after the Olympics; it has businesses of similar size compete against each other.

This was the first time Corporate Challenge has held a flag football event.

The rules were simple; guys cover guys, girls cover girls and you have to pass to a girl every other time, except if a girl threw the ball.

Nellis started out by knocking National Security Tech out of the competition with precision passing by quarterback Chris Cates demolishing them, 26 to nothing.

The second game was all defense, Nellis came out with two interceptions with one touchdown off of one of the interception to finish the game out, 12-0.

Next on the agenda was University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Contrary to popular belief, they did not bring out their heavy hitters from the football team. But they were able to keep Nellis to only one touchdown for the night.

Last on the list was Clark County, a grueling defensive match that was down to the wire. Clark County pulled the upset by kicking a field-goal in the final minutes without letting Nellis score once.

"We only had two days to practice, said Fermon Reid, Nellis' safety. For that amount of practice, I think we did pretty well."

Nellis is currently in first place with 41 points with Clark County following close behind with 30 and Caesar's Palace rounding third with 14 points.

The events of Corporate Challenge will run until June 16 when the closing ceremonies will take place at 11 a.m.
