Staff Sgt. Troy Morgan Jr., 99 Civil Engineer Squadron Pest Management Journeyman, and his wife, Kimberly Morgan, shared their unique love story on "Live! With Regis and Kelly" Feb. 17, in New York City, N.Y. after entering the ' Greatest Love Story' contest last November.

Along with Sergeant Morgan and Kimberly, there were four other couples on the show who also shared their stories.

"It was a huge experience," said Sergeant Morgan. "It was amazing and humbling to be a part of the show and to hear everyone's stories," said Sergeant Morgan.

The Morgan's love story begins when they first started talking online and on the phone in June 2007. At the time, Sergeant Morgan was stationed at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. while Kimberly lived in Russellville, Va. They fell in love before they ever met in person; they set a Jan. 11, 2008 wedding date.

After months of talking, Sergeant Morgan and his fiancée began to meet at equidistant locations to see each other. On Oct. 16, 2007, while on her way to one of these "dates" in Valdosta, Ga., Kimberly got in an accident. Kimberly doesn't remember what happened, but believes she fell asleep at the wheel.

A helicopter took Kimberly to Huntsville Hospital. The doctors' initial assessment was that she was going to be paralyzed due to her two broken vertebrae, punctured lung, cracked ribs and head injury.

Sergeant Morgan rushed to Kimberly's side and, after seeing his fiancée in the hospital, he decided he didn't want to wait until January to get married. In the four days following the accident, he coordinated with the hospital chaplain and a judge in Faytteville, TN., and then obtained a marriage license and planned the ceremony. Sergeant Morgan and
Kimberly were married Oct. 20, 2007 in Kimberly's hospital room. Minutes after the ceremony was over, Kimberly was taken into surgery.

Kimberly has completely healed, and she and Sergeant Morgan have decided to have another, more traditional, wedding this June.

"I chose Kim the day I proposed to her, September 11, 2007; I really love her," said Sergeant Morgan. "She reminds me everyday what we're fighting for - the power to positively inspire and affect another human being."I wouldn't have made this huge decision if I hadn't had such an amazing example of love; my mom Melinda March."

After Sergeant Morgan and Kimberly shared their story on the show, Regis and Kelly presented the couple with $2,000 from David's Bridal to go toward their wedding in July, along with a $3,000 check to offset the costs of the prizes and wedding bands from A. Jaffe, a New York jeweler.
