Nellis honors fallen Soldier Published Sept. 14, 2011 By Nellis Public Affairs NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Soldiers from the Nevada Army National Guard and Airmen from Nellis, Creech and the Nevada Test and Training Range honored U.S. Army Spc. Dennis James, Jr. during a dignified arrival ceremony Sept. 13, 2011, on the flightline at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. James was deployed to Afghanistan from the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Polk, La., when he was killed by an improvised explosive device Aug. 31, 2011. He will be interred into the Southern Nevada Veteran Memorial Cemetery Sept. 26, 2011, at Boulder City, Nev.
