193rd SOW Airmen head to Capitol region to support inauguration

Airmen from the 193rd Special Operations Wing joined about 25,000 Air and Army National Guard troops in the Capitol region recently, as the nation prepares for the 59th Presidential Inauguration later this week.

Members of the wing's 271st Combat Communications Squadron are currently providing network and communications support for Operation Capitol Response at the District of Columbia National Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

In addition, 10 members of the 193rd Special Operations Force Support Squadron deployed to the region with their Disaster Relief Mobile Kitchen Trailer to help feed and support the service members that are in the D.C. area for the operation.  

Numerous Soldiers and Airmen from the Pennsylvania National Guard are currently providing inauguration support in D.C.  

Airmen from the 193rd SOW have been deploying to D.C. in support of presidential inaugurations for many years.
