The Thunderbird museum is also offering guided tours and showing a Thunderbird movie from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Throughout the morning, attendees will be able to reset their personal identification number for their MyPay accounts on-site at the finance booth and can stop by at the military personnel flight building 12 to update their Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System, or DEERS, information from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Master Sgt. Connell Henry, 99th CES electrical systems section chief and this year's Retiree Appreciation Day alternate point of contact, hopes to improve on the event this year. "I am hoping that we get a higher attendance than last year," Henry said. "It's a day for [retirees], and I hope they enjoy it and get all the information we have to provide." Senior Master Sgt. Lamicia Bailey, 99th Force Support Squadron military personnel section superintendent and this year's project officer, said she believes the event is an opportunity to give back to those who have served and hopes the event is a success. "The ideal Retiree Appreciation day for me would be that all the attendees receive some form of information that will help them," Bailey said. "I hope they come out and enjoy the festivities and entertainment and take advantage of all of the benefits provided. [Retiree Appreciation Day] is a way we can celebrate retirees and give thanks so that they know that we appreciate them."
