The Nellis First Sergeants' Counsel is holding its annual Adopt-A-Family program during the upcoming 2013 holiday season at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.

Adopt-A-Family is a program that delivers presents to military families from Nellis and Creech who are in need of some extra help during the holidays.

To partake in this program, local community agencies, such as banks, fire departments and veterans organizations, as well as individuals and fellow service members are encouraged to donate unwrapped gifts. These gifts will be distributed to the families during the holidays.

In the past, Adopt-A-Family has benefitted more than 200 Airmen and families each year.

Any military members who would like to donate gifts or adopt a family this year should contact his or her unit first sergeant as soon as possible.

All others should contact Master Sgt. David Sims at david.sims1@nellis.af.mil.

The First Sergeants' Counsel will provide donors with information about gift drop-off locations and times.
