A U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning II sits on display in the new Lightning Aircraft Maintenance Unit hangar March 18, 2014, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The new hangar will also have an engine maintenance addition built into the facility. Engine maintenance will now be conducted in the same facility the aircraft is stored in. Not moving an engine from one facility to another will make maintenance more efficient and ultimately reduce the amount of time the aircraft must remain on the ground.
