The Nellis First Sergeants Council is sponsoring its annual Adopt-A-Family program during the upcoming 2014 holiday season at Nellis AFB.

Adopt-A-Family is a program that delivers presents to military families from Nellis and Creech AFBs who are in need of some extra help during the holidays.

To partake in this program, local community agencies, such as banks, fire departments and veterans organizations, as well as individuals and fellow military personnel, are encouraged to donate unwrapped gifts from Dec. 3 through 16.

These gifts will be distributed to the families Dec. 17and 18.
The Adopt-A-Family program has benefitted more than 200 Airmen and families on average each year.

Any military personnel who would like to donate gifts or adopt a family this year should contact his or her unit's first sergeant. All others should contact Master Sgt. Stephen Watkin at stephen.watkin@us.af.mil or Master Sgt. Christopher Jachimiec at christopher.jachimiec@us.af.mil. The first sergeants council will provide donors with information about gift drop-off locations and times.
