99th FSS Fast Pass: virtual check-in enhances ID card service

Customers visiting the Nellis Military Personnel Flight for ID or Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) services have a new web based option.

The 99th Force Support Squadron is implementing FSS Fast Pass, a web-based check-in and queuing system designed to reduce crowding, improve communication and enhance overall customer experience. The new system will also provide document reminders to help ensure visits are completed in one trip.

“With this system, customers can better plan their visit and stay informed throughout the process.” Said Lt. Col. Brittany Lee, 99th FSS commander. “It’s about respecting people’s time and improving the way we communicate with them, taking care of our Airmen, retirees and their families.”

The Nellis team of seven personnel service more than 25,000 active-duty members, retirees and dependents from across the region each year. This makes it the fourth busiest in the Air Force.

“We support approximately 100 customers a day,” said Capt. LaDaijah Peters, 99th FSS Military Personnel Flight commander. “This new system won’t change how many people we serve, but it will give them more control over their time while also allowing our team to work more efficiently.”

FSS Fast Pass is expected to improve the overall customer experience by reducing lobby congestion, improving transparency as well as giving users better awareness of waiting times and requirements.

“Our goal is to deliver services that are accessible, predictable and customer-focused,” Lee said. “This is one way we’re working to improve how we serve the Nellis community.”
