Red Flag to increase aircraft activity in southern Nevada

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Southern Nevada residents may notice an increase in military aircraft activity beginning Aug. 7 and continuing through Sept. 2 as another Red Flag exercise takes place.

The exercise includes more than 100 aircraft ranging from the MQ-1 Predator to F-16 Fighting Falcons. These aircraft will fly missions during the day and night to the nearby Nevada Test and Training Range where they will simulate an air war. More than 2,000 people from more than 30 U.S. and allied units will participate in the exercise.
