Red Flag to increase aircraft activity in southern Nevada Published Aug. 2, 2006 Nellis AFB Public Affairs NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Southern Nevada residents may notice an increase in military aircraft activity beginning Aug. 7 and continuing through Sept. 2 as another Red Flag exercise takes place. The exercise includes more than 100 aircraft ranging from the MQ-1 Predator to F-16 Fighting Falcons. These aircraft will fly missions during the day and night to the nearby Nevada Test and Training Range where they will simulate an air war.
