Yes, Nellis and Creech, there is a fairy godmother and she landed at the Professional Development Center and is ready to help people get ready for the ball.

The Professional Development Center and 60th Anniversary Air Force Ball planners have a special surprise for any military spouse who wants to attend the ball. Any military spouse who hasn't had the time, or perhaps the funds to find just the right dress to attend the ball, can do it on Saturday, Aug. 25 -- free of charge.

The Professional Development Center staff, located in Building 625 (back of the old Nellis hospital, between the Airman and Leadership School and Honor Guard sections), have been donated 39 top-of-the line dresses in many styles, colors and sizes from 3 to 18, just waiting for the right person to take them home to prepare for the ball, which will be held at Sept. 8 at the Mirage from 6 p.m. until midnight.

"We will be there Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.," said Staff Sgt. Jessica Quintero, member of the Anniversary Ball Committee, and first term Airmen's center team leader, "And we want to make sure these dresses find the right person, and everyone who wants to go has the opportunity to go to this once-in-a-lifetime event."

Also, according to Sergeant Jessica Quintero, more donations will be welcome until Friday, Aug. 24, at the same location.
