CSS Consolidation

The consolidation of personnelists across base into the Military Personnel Flight is scheduled to be completed July 28.

This Base-Level Service Delivery Model began in April 2007 as part of an Air Force initiative to move all unit personnelists under the MPF in order to process all Airmen out of a single, centralized location.

The move, when completed, will affect all units except the 99th Medical Group, both RED HORSE squadrons, the U.S. Air Force Aerial Demonstration Squadron and units at Creech Air Force Base due to mission parameters.

A customer service center in room 120 of the MPF building will ensure that Airmen make it to the correct office since many locations have changed due to the consolidation. "The customer service center should be Airmen's first stop, but if they know where they need to go, then the member can go directly to the appropriate section," said Capt. Consuelo Salazar, 99th Mission Support Squadron MPF commander.

To many Airmen, this change will be transparent at first, with only the reporting location for Command Support Staff visits changing. As inbound and outbound Airmen in-process and out-process, the true advantage of the new organization should become apparent.

"One of the biggest advantages to this new setup is having all of our personnelists in a centralized location, with standardized processes. If one of them doesn't know how to answer your questions, then I'm sure they know who can," said 1st Lt. Kristine Espinola, Career Development assistant section chief.

The new MPF will be broken down into four sections; Customer Service, Force Management, Career Development, and Personnel Readiness.

In order to make the transition easier for Airmen, the MPF has changed its hours of operation to 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
