99th ABW commander kicks-off Assistance Fund Campaign Published April 1, 2010 By Airman 1st Class Michael Charles 99th Medical Operations Squadron NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Col Steve Garland, 99th Air Base Wing commander, kicked off the Nellis 2010 Air Force Assistance Fund Campaign, March 29, by filling out his contribution form. The AFAF campaign is an annual effort to raise funds for charitable affiliates such as the Air Force Aid Society, Air Force Village Indigent Widows' Fund and the General and Mrs. Curtis E. Lemay Foundation. These organizations provide support to Air Force families in need. This year's campaign theme is "Coming together; Helping Airmen," and it runs from March 29 to May 7.
