Christian Corella, assigned to the 88th Test and Evaluation Squadron, was promoted to the rank of technical sergeant in a ceremony by Col. Michael E. Gantt, 53rd Wing commander Oct. 21. Sergeant Corella was promoted as part of the Stripes for Exceptional Performers program. Every year, wing commanders have an opportunity to promote a few outstanding Airmen through the STEP program. The program awards promotion to Airmen who have gone above and beyond and have demonstrated their readiness to perform at a higher level of responsibility. This year, the 53rd Wing was given one stripe to provide to an outstanding performer under the program.
